Everyone is talking about Going Green. What does this mean? It is a conscious movement on the protection of natural resources that we are starting to all for everyday life. With the price of petrol, I guess we're all looking for ways to save gas, but did you know that's a big part of our household waste and industrial waste dumped in the ocean? In the ocean of all places! As if oil spills and offshore drilling is not enough strain on the marine ecosystem.
There is something that wecan do anything to reduce the amount of waste we create as consumers cut, and it starts at home. It is a little more effort, that we use are increasing, but it's worth it, considering how much waste could be used as a resource.
Here are four simple ways that we can reduce the burden from our homes in landfills or oceans.
1. Reuse: Instead of throwing away boxes, use them for art projects or re-use it as a mailer. A shoebox is a big mailer, and saves money you would spendTo purchase a box at the post office. A plastic juice bottle with the top quarter cut can make a secure vase for flowers. An empty bottle of Dish Wash is fun squirt bottle for the summer outdoor pool located activities. A soup can be used as a pencil holder. Cover it with contact paper to keep the edge smooth and avoid cuts. An oatmeal canisters can hold small toys like Lego and action figures. You can even cut "window" and a drop-down door for your castle.
2. Recycling: Collect glass,Cardboard, aluminum and plastic, which you can usually throw into the trash. Buy some inexpensive plastic bins in a department store and use to keep your recyclable products. We hold our recycling bins in the garage, where they are out of sight, but functional, the kitchen, where most of our waste arises. Be sure to rinse the residue from cans and bottles, so you will not attract bugs! We have also collapsed food packaging that comes in boxes to make room in our collectionRange. Approximately every three to four weeks, most of our recyclable products to our local recycling center. Some cities offer curb side pickup, which makes it even easier.
3. How many plastic bags you bring home from the store in a week? Probably more than you can use possible. You do not throw away, withdraw into the shop next time you shop. Many grocery stores collect them for recycling. I prefer to use the canvas bags because they hold and stay there longer than sliding --and scattering the contents all over the body. It may take a few trips before you learn of them used to doing business with you. Several times I had to go back to the car to get it, but once you get into the basket with a small pocket on the shoulder, you probably do not want one of the two wire or plastic totes used to store offerings. Just take your items to your blank canvas and then it on the table when you are ready to check out.
4. MostWe probably will not throw away our old clothes. Most leave it hanging in the closet recording room, we could actually use to get better organized and the items that we carry will not want to. Go through your closet to remove about once every two or three months, and the clothes you are wearing is no longer enjoy. Take it on business or goodwill, or donate them to another love, where they can be reused, while still in style. Some skirts and shirts contains enough material that can be used for the craft canProjects.
I hope you start, these simple tips to reduce your volume of household waste and help the environment. If we help the environment, we help ourselves, other people, and the plants and animals that depend on the Earth for existence.
